We are equity advisors

The Change LAB team works on a referral-only basis with public, private and philanthropic organizations to help them develop more equitable leaders. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies and family offices to private foundations. With the option to focus our scope of work on internal culture and/or external social investment, we offer clients two ways to work with us:

Equity Lab for Leaders

We facilitate equity labs for organizational leaders to acquire the skills, strategies and tools necessary to translate equity from aspiration into action.

  • Equity Lab is a four (4) part series of leadership development labs designed to help organizational leaders acquire the skills, strategies and tools necessary to translate equity from aspiration into action.

  • Each participant will gain new tools, mental models, and frameworks to improve their capacity to lead through an equity lens.

    In addition, individuals and core teams will learn how to develop a ready-to-implement equity blueprint to guide their ongoing efforts to shift internal culture and external social investments towards greater equity. We will cover:

    Awareness

    • Goal: Identify individual and organizational level equity indicators or signals to surface dormant or unaddressed challenges.

    • Takeaway: Learn to identity the systems, biases and other inputs that shape our equity experiences and perceptions.

    • What to expect: Participants will work through exercises designed to recalibrate their awareness of equity issues to a more personalized lens.

    Assessment

    • Goal: Identity gaps in access to opportunity and inclusive distribution of resources of support using community generated data.

    • Takeaway: learn to distinguish between equity principles and equity practices within the organization or community.

    • What to expect: Participants will work through equity ranking exercises designed to surface shared focus areas or priority issues.

    Accountability

    • Goal: Define key performance indicators relative to desired equity goals or outcomes using a human-centered approach.

    • Takeaway: Learn how to design an individual or organizational level equity blueprint.

    • What to expect: Participants will work through identifying the necessary steps to immediately implement their equity blueprint.

    Action

    • Goal: Compile community generated inputs and priorities.

    • Takeaway: This tool will help leaders to incorporate learnings and insights from all three labs into their equity strategy and action plans.

    • What to expect: An anonymized report of key inputs captured within each lab

  • Each four (4) part series of Equity Lab costs a $25,000 flat fee for up to 20 participants.

  • We schedule Equity Lab over the course of 4 or 8 week cycles and each lab session is approximately 90 minutes.

    However, we offer flexibilty in how each Equity Lab timeline is structured.

Equity + Inclusive Innovation Advisors

We provide on-going advisory support in the design and implementation of strategies to improve equity and inclusive innovation outcomes.

  • We provide on-going advisory support in the design and implementation of strategies to improve equity and inclusive innovation outcomes.

  • Each engagement involves developing a custom scope of work that may include the following deliverables:

    • Review, evaluate, provide feedback and strategic direction with regard to project action plans or program’s capacity to effectively yield equitable and inclusive innovation thinking throughout the organization and outcomes

    • Collaborate with other members of the designated project or management team to facilitate quarterly strategic growth working sessions focused on aligning strategic direction and culture with stated goals

    • Evaluate the organization or project’s performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape in order to identify new opportunities and solutions to potential or existing challenges

    • Facilitate bi-monthly working sessions focused on strategic alignment with equity and inclusive innovation objectives as well as leadership capacity

    • Work closely with project team and management to define and develop goals and objectives relative to equity and inclusive innovation objectives

    • Help identify strategies to leverage available resources to capitalize on growth and partnership opportunities for social investment or specific projects

  • Flat fees arrangements typically start at $10,000 per month, but may vary per engagement.

  • We work on 6, 9 or 12 month engagements.

  • Our advisory services require an in-depth understanding of your specific needs, challenges and objectives to develop a customized project plan.
